Flowers for your Friday

{via j'adore}

Good Friday morning to you, the last Friday morning in June! I can't believe how quickly this month has flown by. In just a few days, my baby boy will be three years old and it will be summer vacation. So much to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead!

I chose this bucket of lavender for today's Friday flowers post because it reminds me of last summer and my whirlwind 5-day trip to France to see Em. Can't wait to see her again this summer, in just a little over a month! July is going to be busy, with Canada Day festivities, the summer festival and parade, a sleepover with some girlfriends (complete with girly drinks and movies! fun!), the usual time spent in the garden, at the park and at the beach, and a weekend away for Alan and I (without the kids! can you even imagine?!) to attend Em and Francois' Canadian wedding party in Maple Ridge. Doesn't that sound like a lovely way to pass the time in July? Oh, and we've got some fun plans for August too...

But I digress! Back to this weekend and what's going on right now. We're taking the van in for some minor repairs today, and walking home via the park and Starbucks. We'll work in the garden, have lunch and a nap, and then walk back up to get the van this afternoon. Then it's time to get our groceries. I've got a huge list, which includes things like hot dogs and buns, plastic dinosaurs and balloons, and everything I need to make a pirate-themed birthday cake and pinata for Sawyer's BBQ birthday party on Sunday. I think I'm going to be a busy girl over the next couple of days! What do you have planned for the last weekend in June? I'd love to hear all about it.

PS: In keeping with the theme of flowers for your Friday, I'll be back later with my garden tour post. Get ready for a lot of flowery photos!

  3. Wow you do sound as though your diary is a bit packed so understand why a trip to England is kinda not going to happen. Shame it would have been nice to meet you, but you never know..one day! Hope your little one has a great birthday and enjoy all your activities. I'll be chilling in the garden, bottle of wine in the summerhouse and going to watch cricket on Sunday.
