An exquisite banana and a parcel full of pretty stuff

Click for a closer look

Remember back in April when I hosted my "favourite things" blog birthday giveaway? Kayla from Exquisite Banana was the winner and I thought you might {finally!} like to see what I sent her. It was a parcel full o'fun, and I hoped it would be just what a lovely preschool teacher like her would enjoy. I'm happy to report that she was quite taken with all of it :) Here's what I sent:

1. Giant, polka-dotted clothes peg magnet.
2. Matryoshka doll rubber stamp
3. Bright banana yellow K on a ribbon
4. Cadbury buttons- yum!
5. Letter P luggage tag {I looked everywhere for a K and couldn't find one, so I got her a P for Poole... Let's hope she does a bit more travelling before her wedding when that P becomes redundant!}
6. Nest egg change purse
7. Mouse pad notepaper {for jotting down all her best blogging ideas}
8. Pretty paper clips... every teacher needs 'em
9. A notebook to keep track of the important stuff, perhaps an inspiring quote or two... The cover reads, "She sat down before breakfast, decided how to spend her day. Climb trees, run fast, sing at the top of her lungs. Do the dishes tomorrow."
10. Dirty Girl lipgloss, extra glossy
11. Tea cup notecards, just because
12. Empress blend tea... {picked up at my middle-of-the-night Royal Wedding tea party}

Tea, pretty stationery, some colourful bits & bobs... pretty much perfect, in my book! I think I'll need to host another giveaway soon. In the meantime, I'm wondering... have you ever won a giveaway? What goodies did you find in your mailbox? Inspire me!

  1. Not surprised she was impresssed, there are some lovely things there. I have been very fortunate to win a few giveaways. I have received a covered notebook with with copies of old travel posters sewn on, a waterbottle in a lovely cover. Scraps of deightful fabric for patchwork and once a huge parcel of kitsch goodies which included a very retro waste bin, artificial roses, a great'London' bag and other cheery things. Am currently trying to decide what to Giveaway myself so will be back to read your replies in case I too can get some inspiration!

  4. Holy moley! This is an amazing package, Erin!! You should definitely host another giveaway...very soon. ;)

    Hmm...I've won a few giveaways in my day and have always been so in love with the winnings! I think any time someone takes the time to send something your way it's difficult to not be totally enamored with everything!

  6. Hi Erin, thanks for joining my blog! Love the giveaway, are you doing any more? Would I be able to enter from UK or could I put my Brothers add in Vancouver if I did enter any?

    I'm a bit perplexed too, do you buy all those lovely things yourself to giveaway?

  7. OMG. Seeing all that loot just made me smile so big.

    Fellow Pugh's News readers: Erin is one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, awesomesauce people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. But you all know that, I'm sure.

    Erin, this package rocked and I've put its contents to good use. And by the way, the "P" is not redundant: Tiho's last name also starts with P...hooray! Thank you for posting this. I don't think I ever shared it either, so I'm going to be sure to link to it in this Friday's blinks. xoxoxoxo
