18-year-old me

This weekend, I'm going to my twenty-year high school reunion {I know! I can't believe it either!} I've been getting a bit nostalgic, and wondering what it'll be like to see those people I used to spend every day with. I had some great friends back then, and we had some fabulous times, in amidst all that teenage angst.I dug out my yearbooks and found some photos of us, back in the day. Want to see?

Here I am {on the far left} in the Red Cross Youth Group. My best friends Melana and Symphony are beside me. The teacher in charge of the club was Mrs Gubbe. She taught my Honours English class and was one of my favourites.

 Hanging out in Creative Writing class. Even then, I had a diet Coke with me {or maybe that was Symphony's}

Symphony, Jeff, me and Tanya doing the Monkees walk on a spring time camping trip to Goldstream Park. Oh, we were some wild and crazy kids.

Most of the time we were laughing about something completely ridiculous. There was a lot of quoting "Kids in the Hall" back then.

Graduation day, June 1992. My grandma hired a seamstress to make me that dress and I loved it. I was a big fan of "Pretty in Pink."

Have you been to your high school reunion? I'm a bit nervous! No idea what to wear, or how I'll react when I come face-to-face with the boy I was madly in love with all through high school {or those mean girls who made my life miserable in junior high}. I do know that I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up on the past twenty years, though. It should be quite a night! Stay tuned for photos next Monday. And in the meantime, tell me what you were like in high school? I was on the yearbook committee, volunteered with the Red Cross, wrote for and edited the school newspaper, and worked at the grocery store on the weekends. I was shy {but just around the people I didn't know}, studious {very focused on acing everything and getting into university}, and completely silly & full of fun. Can you tell?
