On a bleak, grey winter's morning, I'm dreaming of lovely, long, warm summer days. Of taking a canoe out on a lake and finding the perfect spot for a picnic, and then spending the entire afternoon lounging in the sun, drinking lemonade and reading books... Who wants to join me?
I'll come along... as long as the lake isn't frozen, that is!
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you that while Sophie was visiting, her mom called to say to us girls, "don't even think about walking on the Lac d'Annecy!!!" That made us laugh like crazy, because even though we were still in the midst of the cold snap, Annecy's famous lake is way too big to ever freeze. Haha!
I'm definitely dreaming of summer. Canoeing on a lake sounds amazing right now. I've been looking at pictures from last summer at the lake house recently and it has me itching to watch the warm sunset colors fall over the lake and deep green trees!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with this photo that I don't even have words. I'd love to canoe -- I think lakes are steady enough that I wouldn't get sea sick in them. And I'm totally looking up a place to canoe nearby now.
