Scenes from the weekend

Things were starting to get pretty festive around here this weekend. Take a look...

Alan and the boys put up some Christmas lights while I was at work on Friday.

We couldn't resist a visit to the tree lot at Canadian Tire to smell the fir trees! Aaah.

Working on the lights on Saturday afternoon

At the Santa Claus parade, Saturday night

 Loving the lights

 The Rudolph bus

Trying to decide... do I send these pretty paper tree ornaments off to friends, or keep them for myself?

Tea and pomegranates. Two of my favourite things.

The boys were so excited that we let them put up the Christmas village in their bedroom.

Writing Christmas cards at the kitchen table.

I did laundry too, cleaned the kitchen & living room, sorted the recycling, and went to the gym a couple of times. I didn't get any photos of that though!

What did you get up to this weekend? Do you have any fun plans for the week ahead? I'm getting my hair cut and coloured today after way, waaaay too long, and I can't wait to feel like I look good again. Stay tuned for photos!

Happy Monday.

  1. I unfortunately spent a large part of the weekend with a hangover, whoops! I am so excited to put up our christmas decorations, it is a tradition that we do it on the 1st December.

  2. Aww! I love that you are already decorating! One of my LEAST favorite things about living in the apartment is that we have no space to store decorations during the year. Our only option is to import decorations from our family's homes but since no one is here on Christmas we usually don't. We do have a tree and a few lights but I think I'll live vicariously through you!

I love that they put some lights up on the trees while you were gone!
