The best smelling rose ever. I drove home with it on my lap, breathing it in.

Another weekend come and gone, this one the first in October. It felt like fall. There was woodsmoke in the air, leaves on the ground. We got a lot done at home, working in the garden and in the house {I tend to tackle the laundry on the weekends}. It was the preschool walk-a-thon first thing Saturday morning, and I think we raised well over $2000, just walking 1 km. People love to donate money to cute little 3 and 4-year-olds! It was a lovely morning. We got to see old preschool friends, crunch through the leaves, and there were freshly baked gingersnaps. You can 't go wrong with gingersnaps! It was a weekend for spending time together. We strolled the farmers' market and went for hot drinks after swim lessons. We played board games, and the boys were fast fans. There were bike rides and long walks, and of course there was Doctor Who. All in all, a very pleasant weekend. I can't believe it's October though. This time next week, it will be Thanksgiving! Crazy.

How was your weekend? Did you have a pumpkin spice latte, too?

  2. Another whirlwind weekend, Erin! I still don't know how you do it. I'm so glad to see you and the boys are so thoroughly enjoying fall festivities. And was that first pumpkin spice latte heaven? From now until January, I'll be jealous of all the delicious coffee flavors other people get to have. Hope your day off was fantastic!
