I want to be a part of it

I'm sure you all probably read A Cup of Jo on a daily basis, but just in case you don't... I have to tell you how much her recent series about New York City has me dreaming of a trip to the Big Apple. Joanna's posts about where to eat and stay in NYC, how to hail a cab, and most recently, 10 amazing things to do, are so jam-packed with fabulous suggestions and photos, it's all I can do to stop myself from grabbing my passport and heading to the airport right this second! At the very least, I think it's time for a re-watch of You've Got Mail.

Have you been to New York? Is it as magical as they make it out to be? I hope so. Because one of these days I really am going. Count on it.

  2. yes it is!!! especially when you meet a handful of fabulous bloggers who welcome you into the city that never sleeps-- it has no time to! :)

one day you will go, and you will eat at the cafe/eatery where they filmed the scene between meg ryan and tom hanks in "you've got mail."

  4. My boyfriend's sister lives on the upper west side, so we get to go visit a couple of times a year. I have to say, I am in LOVE with Brooklyn. I hope you get to go soon! It is a wonderful city to experience!!

  5. i've only been once, for a senior class trip, right before 9/11. we saw all the major sights and some great shows. a few times, when i was supposed to be at a museum or shopping center, i snuck off on my own and rode the subway to fabulous places. i did some exploring, but only as much as i could before having to meet back up with my class and pretend to have seen the exhibits. i think it's time to go back as an adult and have all the time in the world to explore. i also have some good friends there and i am a huge lover of city life, so yeah, it's time.
