... was the best kind of busy. From last Tuesday through to this one:
Bob got lots of attention when Monica and Emily came to stay
Sawyer perfected his mini-golf stroke
We camped out with the fam
We splashed in the pool {Monica carried Sawyer around the entire time!}
The boys explored the river
So did cousin Isabel
Sawyer loved the time he got to spend with Mercedes
He adored Emily too...
We had to say good-bye again when I dropped the girls off at the ferry terminal, with promises of "it won't be so long next time..."
We swam some more
We ate s'mores {with peanut butter! yum!}
Alan gave me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers for our anniversary
And I got to meet Cass!
What an awesome week! I also went out to dinner twice, ate some Skor cheesecake, saw Crazy, Stupid, Love {loved. it.}, bought Dylan some new school clothes and had a few fun Skype dates with faraway friends. My blog sort of fell by the wayside {my mind is a blank about what to post!}, but otherwise, I'd call it a smashing success.
Speaking of this little blog, I've got some plans and things I'm working on to jazz the place up a bit. Stay tuned...

oh gosh, Sawyers little face with Mercedes is adorable, I bet your heart just explodes everyday looking at your boys :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having a great summer so far!
it looks like you really had an amazing week! I am so jealous of you being in the pool and people in shorts. I am having bloggers block this week but I think sometimes its nice just to be absorbed in the real world, I know I need it some weeks :-)
ReplyDeleteOooh- I want to explore that river, too!
ReplyDeletehow fun! i read this post and then asked dannon if it was monday. lucky you to have all that fun in the middle of the week! :) and i can't wait to see what sort of blog changes you have in store.

ReplyDeleteWhen you're doing as much as you are, it's okay if the blog gets a little quiet. You need to live to have things to post about, right? And live you did! It all looks like such a blast. Have you ever taken your boys hunting for shark teeth in local streams or rivers? That's SO much fun.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're having such a wonderful time! Can't wait to phone date soon so that I can hear all about it... I'll be back in Annecy on Tuesday. In the meantime, XOXO!!
