Quack quack

As promised, here are some photos of ducks. Lots and lots of ducks! We went to Beacon Hill Park on Sunday, armed with baggies full of birdseed. It was great fun.

 We were mobbed by mallards.

 Clearly, they hadn't eaten in weeks. The boys were happy to remedy that, and sprinkled seed liberally all over the ground for the starving little waifs...

 They were so hungry that when we decided it was getting chilly and we were going to head back to the van, they followed us!

 We had to make a fast getaway! Run, Sawyer, run!!!

    Oh, what fun! Feeding ducks was one of my favorite activities when I was growing up, and then when I was a nanny, visiting the ducks in the park became an important weekly ritual. We even had a song we sang!

    I know, Faiza. It's crazy, isn't it? That's what happens when your country is as enormous as ours is, I guess. Enjoy the snow!

    You're not kidding - that's a LOT of ducks! I love the last picture where it looks vaguely like a Duck Horror movie. :) Ducks are ok, but geese sort of scare me....
