Quack quack

As promised, here are some photos of ducks. Lots and lots of ducks! We went to Beacon Hill Park on Sunday, armed with baggies full of birdseed. It was great fun.

 We were mobbed by mallards.

Clearly, they hadn't eaten in weeks. The boys were happy to remedy that, and sprinkled seed liberally all over the ground for the starving little waifs...

They were so hungry that when we decided it was getting chilly and we were going to head back to the van, they followed us!

We had to make a fast getaway! Run, Sawyer, run!!!

  1. Oh, what fun! Feeding ducks was one of my favorite activities when I was growing up, and then when I was a nanny, visiting the ducks in the park became an important weekly ritual. We even had a song we sang!

  2. i cannot believe how different our winters look and we are from the same country! we are preparing for a big storm expected tomorrow!

    quack quack to your cuties!

  3. I know, Faiza. It's crazy, isn't it? That's what happens when your country is as enormous as ours is, I guess. Enjoy the snow!

PS: It's -1 here today. Cold, but no snow.

  4. So many ducks! I love that last photo of Sawyer running away from the herd (swarm?)(gaggle?) XOXO!

  5. awe how sweet is this post!? your boys look like they have so much fun....cute & cute! green grass in january? not fair. not fair at all erin! xo.

  6. You're not kidding - that's a LOT of ducks! I love the last picture where it looks vaguely like a Duck Horror movie. :) Ducks are ok, but geese sort of scare me....

  7. Ha! That totally made me laugh, Alli! We were a little bit frightened when they were in hot pursuit...

  8. Your boys are sooooo adorable! :) These photos are so precious! I can't get over all the ducks :)

  9. -1? that is practically tropical! the groundhog will have good news for us tomorrow. i am sure of it :)

  10. I love this post! It brought the biggest smile to my face - almost as big as the ones on your twos faces!!

    I just imagine their squeals!

  11. cutest free activity. what fun!

Yay! I love comments.
