Wow, is it really Friday again already? A week ago we were spending our last day in England and getting ready for the long journey home. Today, we're on the other side of the world, enjoying the last Friday of summer vacation (am sad, but happy all at the same time~ I really do love the fall) The sun is shining and the air is warm, so I think we'll spend the afternoon outside, making the most of it. Didn't manage to get those blackberries yesterday, so perhaps we'll wander down the path when the boys wake up, buckets in hand...
This morning we went to school so I could do some organizing and putting up of bulletin boards... in my new grade 1 & 2 classroom! Hurrah! In addition to two days in the school library, I'll now be sharing the teaching responsibilities for a class of little ones with my good friend, Shannon, every Friday. How perfect is that? It's the job I've been hoping for for years now. It works perfectly with my schedule (and should be a nice change for Alan to be home with the boys on Fridays). I am thrilled to bits, and looking forward to a lovely new school year. Now I just need to plan my first-day-of-school outfit! Stay tuned...
Happy Friday! Hope you've got a wonderful long weekend ahead!

PS: That flower photo was taken during our first week in England. Want to come back later to hear all about week one and check out a million English-y photos? Think I've finally got them organized! Sneak peek? Okay... just one!

I'm so glad to hear you landed the ideal schedule, Erin! That's so exciting. Enjoy this last official summer weekend with your family -- and make sure to eat lots of fresh blackberries.
