The evenings have been rather windy around here lately. A few weeks back, the wind was absolutely wild and we couldn't resist the temptation to take our kites out and fly them after dinner. We went to the nearest park, kites in hand. Dylan had no problem getting his up into the air, almost immediately.
Alan's fancy Star Wars "tie fighter" kite wasn't so easy to get off the ground.
He spent quite a bit of time adjusting the various bits and pieces.
And finally, it flew!
It was very exciting, while it lasted (20 seconds or so!) Hopefully he'll have more success next time. Darth Vader would not have been impressed!
Oh I havent flown a kite for years and years! Glad it finally got up and going if only for a little while.
