Saturday morning daydream

The boys' passport applications are in and approved, and we should have them in hand two weeks from today. Still dealing with Alan's passport renewal via Washington, DC (seriously... what a pain) and hoping it will go smoothly, with no delays. London still seems far off, and I wonder if we're really going to get everything sorted out so that we can go this summer. I hope so. I wish we didn't have to worry about paperwork or money or plane tickets or any of it.

And so this Saturday morning, my daydream is this... Not having to worry about any of the pesky details. Just being there, on a sunny morning in Trafalgar Square. Sitting by the fountains, taking pictures of the boys with the lions, looking up towards Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. A whole day in London lies ahead of us. I wonder what we'll do first? I vote tea and cakes at Cafe-in-the-Crypt. Then we'll head for the river. I've promised Dylan a ride on the London Eye.

  2. oh Erin to dream of far off travel! That's all I will be doing for the next billizion years lol.
I hope all goes well with the paper work so you can share your love of London and Alan's hometown (is London not where your love romance started?) with you lovely boys
I can only imagine the smiles and giggles as you travel throughout the city with them.
Let your morning daydream become reality quickly.
    xoxo

  3. I know what you're going through, if money wasn't a problem I wouldn't have to check everyday if the plain tickets had gone down in price. At this point my husband is talking about him leaving on a Friday and me and my sister in law following on Monday, since we both have to work the weekend, and the tickets are much cheaper on Friday. So my Saturday daydream is the same!
Hope everything goes as planned for you, so you will be able to enjoy London!

  5. Fingers crossed for your trip! I've never been to the cafe in the crypt, but I go past it all the time. There is a lovely place off Trafalgar Square, towards Covent Garden, Patisserie Valerie that does the most divine chocolate cake :)
