Much Love Monday

Happy Monday! I'm certainly feeling the aches and pains in my legs and feet today as I recover from my fantastic running victory yesterday, but apart from the need for a long soak in the tub, all is well. And so, without further ado, how about another round of Much Love Monday?

These days I'm loving our garden, the long, light evenings, and the spring in my step (still quite giddy from the excitement of finishing that 10K run in decent time and living to tell the tale!) Last night we filled planters with soil, mowed the lawn, hung the laundry out on the clothesline and enjoyed the fresh air. Alan and I read loads of Apple Tree Farm books aloud to the boys (enjoying a resurgence in popularity at our house!) then tucked them into bed, and curled up on the couch to catch up on the latest hilarious episode of Outnumbered (have you seen it? it really is a fantastically funny depiction of the madness of family life! I highly recommend it)
It's Monday at lunch hour, and I'm feeling very organized at work today, so I'm looking forward to an evening off (no marking or planning tonight, and I don't think my legs can handle the gym just yet). I'll drink tea, enjoy dinner made by Alan and the boys (a Monday tradition that is catching on, much to my delight!) and bring the laundry in from the line. I bet it smells just wonderful! I love my dryer, but there's nothing quite so nice as clothes that have blown dry in the breeze, is there?

What are you loving today? Don't forget to link back to Much Love Anna if you decide to join in the fun!

  2. Sounds wonderful. I need a Monday night tradition. So far it's about grocery shopping on Monday or Tuesday night.
I do love clothes when they dry naturally outside. They just feel so much better I find.
Again I have to say well done on your run!

  3. Awesome job on the run! Your whole weekend sounds so absolutely lovely. And though I've never heard of Outnumbered, I think I'll have to check it out.

P.S. My trip to Vancouver in June is a definite! I'll be there the 17th-21st, though I'll be at the conference from the 17th until noon on the 20th -- perhaps tea that afternoon or dinner that night?

  6. Nothing better than line dried clothes to avoid the need to iron!

Love your washing line pic too.
