Running for Em, always

Two weeks from tomorrow, I'll be doing the Run for the Cure. For the first time ever, Em isn't here to text me and say how proud and thankful she is that I'm all decked out in pink and running round the Ring Road at UVic for her. It breaks my heart. I don't even want to do it. But I will, because I know she'd want me to. And I would do anything for Em.There will be four of us running together, four of her dear friends. We've called our team Les Amies d'Emily. We will run (and walk) and cry and share memories of our darling E. And hopefully, somewhere, she'll be watching and cheering us on. I love you, Em. You're in my heart always.

If you'd like to donate, you can visit the link to my page on the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation site here.

  1. I can only imagine how hard it will be running this race, but I'm sure Em will be cheering you on and be proud of you for doing this.

Yay! I love comments.
