Saturday morning daydream
It's a bright, frosty morning here in Victoria. I've got some housework to do, some groceries to pick up, some report cards to write, a birthday party to attend with the boys. The usual Saturday kind of stuff. You know what I'd like to be doing instead? Spending the day in a big city somewhere {London maybe?} and getting started on my Christmas shopping. Strolling the city streets, peering in shop windows, popping into any place that catches my eye {like that beautiful bookshop above}. Laden with shopping bags, I'd take breaks at cozy little cafés, warming up with a cup of tea and a pastry, before heading out again.
Shall we meet at the end of a successful shopping day for a glass of wine, and to compare our purchases?

That day would be quite amazing. Especially having a coffee break and comparing purchases. I hope you are well lovely. x
ReplyDeleteIt would be even more amazing if we could spend it together!
DeleteI am well, Gracie. Hope you are, too! xo
Oh my gosh that is a lovely day dream, I would love to be in London, I would even give up the warm weather we are having. I have no idea when I am going to do my christmas shopping, I dont even have any idea about what to get people, I already know christmas is going to just sneak up on me. It is Sunday night here and I am not looking forward to work tomorrow :( Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI need to start making my shopping list so I have a goal when I head out and don't just spend a fortune on impulse buys!
DeleteGlorious daydream! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marcia! You too!
DeleteYou paint a lovely picture. I'd love to be doing just that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading :)
Deleteyes please!!! that looks amazing and now i'm daydreaming about that on this monday. i should be napping since felix is, but instead i wanted to really enjoy a cup of coffee (priorities) ha
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to nap when the baby naps. You know you're giving up your precious "me time" if you do! But sometimes the best way to spend your "me time" is sound asleep... I remember those days well!
DeleteI can completely see you behind that glass in that bookshop! You are laden down with bags and trying to wrestle a big pile of books from the shelf for lovely thoughtful presents.
ReplyDeleteAdore these Saturday daydreams
