An evening stroll

The photos really don't do it justice.

Last night the boys had their investiture ceremony for Beavers. Their troop went for a hike through the grounds of Royal Roads, and they got their beaver tails and neck-ties. It was very cute, and a lovely way to spend the evening. There was a chill in the air, but I had on a sweater and jeans, so I didn't mind. Plus, the sky was golden and the scenery was beautiful. I strolled along behind the group snapping photos and breathing deeply. It was just what I needed, after one hell of a bad day. Fresh air, autumn leaves, two adorable boys... and the hope that Tuesday will be better. I'll keep you posted.

  1. So calm and serene looking and maybe reaffirms my view that we really must come and visit you one day soon. Any time of year would be great but your Autumn looks stunning, here we are deluged in slippery puddles at the moment.
Sorry you had such a tough start to the week, here's hoping it takes a turn for the better.

    1. Oh, Cassie, I would love so much for you to come and visit! Any time of year would be fabulous, but I must admit, our autumn is quite lovely. We could sit at the kitchen table and make pumpkin scones with my new KitchenAid while we sipped coffee/tea and watched all our boys playing together... One day!

  2. Beautiful scenery! How are you feeling? Was today better?

Yay! I love comments.
