Souvenirs
The boys were playing with these on the kitchen table yesterday. I liked the juxtaposition of my two favourite cities' famous modes of transportation side by side.
If only I could hop a double decker or hail a cab right now... In London, I think I'd take a stroll from Trafalgar Square to Covent Garden {where I'd shop for fun stationery, grab a sandwich and a cup of tea, and listen to the street musicians}. In New York, I'd like to wander the Upper West Side and pop into Zabar's for a bagel and cream cheese, then take it to Riverside Park and have a little picnic.
What would you do, given the chance?

I've never been to London, but I'm dying to go! We were in NY for days once, and I loved it. I really want to go back. I'm travelling to Portugal in a few days. I want to send you a postcard. Will you e-mail me your address? Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLondon is lovely!
DeleteI've never been to Portugal, but I'd love a postcard. I emailed you my address this evening. Thanks, Marcia!
oh man, next time you're in my neck of the woods, we're going downtown to the best bagel place in the entire world. (yes, the world. it's the best in nyc, which obviously means it's the best in the world by default ;)
ReplyDeleteDeal! I'm looking forward to it already :)
DeleteSigh!! You are dearly missed my friend :( Listen to this! Today as Miguelito and I rode the bus to Times Square and went by Columbus Circle, he asked "Mami when are we going to see Erin again?" :( You made such a sweet impact on my munchkin during the little time that you saw him! We miss you dear friend and can't wait to hang out with you again someday soon!!
ReplyDeleteYes, let's plan our Skype date soon :)
Hooray for it being the last full week of school! :)
xoxo
Miss you guys, too! Did you get my postcard? And did you see the photo of the whale I posted on FB for Miguelito?
DeleteSkype soon for sure. And hurrah for summer vacation! We'll definitely have time to chat then.
xoxo
Oh, two really lovely cities. Although I haven't been to either, I totally dream of being in both. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I could do anything? Hmm. I'd meet my mom for tea. Probably in London. I miss her, and I know she'd have so much fun in London. :)
