New York, Day One: Times Square

Times Square is CRAZY. Every bit as crazy as it looks on tv! I can't even begin to imagine the chaos down there on New Year's Eve...

Our first morning in New York City, we hopped on the subway and headed for 42nd Street, and Times Square. We'd been up since before 6 {what? we were excited!} and so we arrived bright and early. It was wild to see all the billboards and lights and people at 8 o'clock in the morning. See what I mean?

Amanda and I, ready to take on the big city

So many shows, so little time

 The famous New Year's Eve ball {it was really foggy our first morning there... at first we couldn't even see the ball or 2012 in lights!}

 The red stairs to nowhere, and more billboards {see Chicago? we went to see it on Broadway that night}

Glitziest subway station ever

Next up... more of our first day in the Big Apple {I took a lot of photos}, including some of my favourite NYC buildings, and a visit to MoMA. Won't you join me?

  1. ah it takes me back :) cant wait to see the rest of the pics!

  2. Oh Erin! I'm really looking forward to these posts because it just makes me even more excited for my USA trip! Eeee! It looks amazing.

    1. It is amazing! You are going to love it, Gracie. And Times Square was nowhere near the best part... (wait and see!)

      PS: You will love Karina even more in real life than you do online. She is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet!

  3. I've never been to NYC so thanks for sharing! I didn't think about how foggy it could get. Darn! Well I'm glad it cleared up enough to see everything though! I always wondered if they exaggerated how busy New York really was.

  4. Hooray for NYC photos. And, while I'm cheering you on, being in full-on tourist mode? In Times Square at 8 a.m.? On your 1st day in the Big Apple? Bravo!!!

  5. Love it!!! Times squares is always so magical! I still can't believe how much you girls got done on that first day and that you were up at 5:30am! Super troopers ;) Love your pictures! You look so happy and beautiful in them! Love you,Erin! P.S. Yes, I would really appreciate you coming back to kick a certain someones ass!! ;-D
