Our first morning in New York City, we hopped on the subway and headed for 42nd Street, and Times Square. We'd been up since before 6 {what? we were excited!} and so we arrived bright and early. It was wild to see all the billboards and lights and people at 8 o'clock in the morning. See what I mean?
Amanda and I, ready to take on the big city
So many shows, so little time
The famous New Year's Eve ball {it was really foggy our first morning there... at first we couldn't even see the ball or 2012 in lights!}
The red stairs to nowhere, and more billboards {see Chicago? we went to see it on Broadway that night}
Glitziest subway station ever
Next up... more of our first day in the Big Apple {I took a lot of photos}, including some of my favourite NYC buildings, and a visit to MoMA. Won't you join me?
ah it takes me back :) cant wait to see the rest of the pics!

I've never been to NYC so thanks for sharing! I didn't think about how foggy it could get. Darn! Well I'm glad it cleared up enough to see everything though! I always wondered if they exaggerated how busy New York really was.
ReplyDeleteHooray for NYC photos. And, while I'm cheering you on, being in full-on tourist mode? In Times Square at 8 a.m.? On your 1st day in the Big Apple? Bravo!!!
