Scenes from the weekend

I didn't get as much done this weekend as I'd hoped, but I did do the things I really needed to. I spent time with my dear friend Kelly, met up with my mom and sister at the park so our boys could play {and we could talk about our trip to New York!}, and we managed to get all the groceries bought {plus a new microwave... ours suddenly packed it in a few days ago}. I even made a meal plan for the week, and a tasty batch of waffles. I think that could probably be considered a successful weekend, non? I did my best to relax whenever I could, which was a very good thing indeed, as the week ahead is going to be anything but relaxing...

I'm a "card for every holiday" kind of girl

How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything good?

  1. I love that you are a card for every holiday girl :)

The Sunday morning brunch looks delicious. I love meeting people for brunch now. It's one of my favourite things.

Yay for your NY trip! I'm excited for you because I'm excited about mine too.

And watching Hunger Games at IMAX will be amazing.

  2. I'm so excited for your trip to New York! I know you've been counting down for it.

My friend and I have already got tickets for the Hunger Games and we're roaring to go. We would have gone to the midnight premiere but we're in the middle of student teaching and I've started going to bed at 9:30... which means a 12am showing is out of the question! Hahaha. When did I get so old?

I love your pictures of brunch and of the three shadows.

I'm glad you could relax this weekend. I never get everything done on the weekends that I should, but somehow I always manage to catch up during the week. Thank goodness for planning periods at school!
