It's Wednesday and, even in the midst of this winter weather chaos, Wednesday means E & me.
This week, Em and I are taking out the recycling.
It doesn't matter if you're in Canada or France, you still need to sort through your paper, metal and plastic and separate it from the rubbish, non?
Ours gets picked up curb-side every other Monday. And the boxes are always full.
I can't even imagine how much must have been thrown away in the days before recycling programs were in place!
Do you have regular recycle pick-up {in the bright blue box like mine} or do you have to take all your empties to a recycling centre?
we have a blue bin that takes cardboard, paper, plastic and tins and a green bin for food, garden waste and shredded paper. We dont get glass recycled which is a pain as we have a few empty bottle....! Ours gets taken every other mon too and the alternate mon is for general rubbish. I always wonder how families squeeze it all in as just the two of us can fill those bins and the bin men wont take them if the lid isn't down properly & they certainly wont take any bags that wont fit in the bin.
ReplyDeleteI have my fancy "Green Garbage bag" in the corner of the kitchen for all my recycling - plastic, tin and glass, BUT We have to take to town to the recycle depot - sometimes a pain, but I can't throw it away, I feel so bad doing that.

I love to recycle. Ours gets picked up every week & it's always completely full. Oh and I agree - I can't believe how much trash there'd be without it!
