Scenes from the weekend

I had such a lovely weekend away with my mom and Amanda. We ate out and lounged about, got manicures and pedicures {thanks, Mom! it was such a treat!}, drank wine, ate pizza and watched holiday movies, wandered lots of little shops {including a fun one full of gorgeous antiques}, watched a Christmas show at the Chemainus Theatre... It was wonderfully relaxing, and so much fun. We were too busy having a fabulous time to take many photos, but I did get a few.

The Beach Club Resort, where we stayed

Eggnog infused whipped cream and hot chocolate in the lobby... yum!

 Our hotel room was beautiful

And it had an amazing view

A Christmas Carol + festive feet + a roaring fire = happy me

Vintage glass baubles. I may have bought a few...

Pretty packaging from the 1950s, and sweet little angels

I'm so grateful to have had such an indulgent and relaxing weekend, with two of my favourite people. It was just exactly what I needed. And then I got to come home to my lovely boys, a house with more Christmas lights up and a brand new mantle over the fireplace! Hooray!

I am one tired but happy girl. Good-night. xo

  1. That sounds perfect. :) Christmas movies is about all I'm interested in these days. I'm definitely not interested in the final exams that are happening this week--yuck! It's so much more fun to watch Lifetime Christmas movies than to grade papers and prepare for finals, right?

  2. That resort looks absoultely gorgeous! I love the open fire. My mum has a wood fire and its my favourite thing in Winter. I am having a weekend with my mum and sister this week for my birthday and you have got me extra excited for it.

  5. So glad you had some time to get away this weekend! I'm kinda impressed. And jealous. I want a beach retreat! And it'd only be more awesome if you were there.
