E & me {classroom}

It's week 3 of the E & me photo project!

Did you know that Em and I are both teachers? I'm the teacher-librarian {and soon-to-be kindergarten teacher!} at my local elementary school, and Em teaches English to Frenchies in and around the town of Annecy.

Here is a snap of each of our classrooms, taken this week:

Mine is definitely more colourful {the littles like it}, but Em's wins hands-down for biggest, most fancy TV! Her chairs look comfier, too...

We have lots of ideas for the upcoming weeks of our project, but we'd love to hear your suggestions as well. Is there something you're dying to see from both the Canadian and French perspective? Leave a  note in the comments and we'll add it to our list.

Happy Wednesday! Bon mercredi!

  5. I love it! It's interesting to see the different perspectives. And look at those chairs in Em's room. Very comfy looking. I like your green chairs and all the books.

    Photos of your walls? Where you blog areas?

  7. Oh wow! I actually didn't know you were both teachers. I love this idea. School is actually the first thing that came to mind for me but I'd also like to know how the school systems differ. Do you both do grades, do they call school secondary or high school? Is it common for people to go to college? Or do students specialize in a field while they're still in high school (as an exchange student from Norway once told me his school did).

    Hmm.... What else? I guess I'd like to see words on something? Maybe a starbucks menu in English and French? Or perhaps bathrooms. In one place we traveled in France (about 8 years ago now) my dad took a picture of the public restroom in a concert hall because the (awkward sorry!) urinals were just a wall with a drainage ditch at the bottom. That's not the way it is in America. Hahah.

    I don't know, I'd love to see just about anything. My heart dreams of travel but my wallet just says NO.
