It's a professional development day for teachers in our district today! Yay! Am meeting up with several other primary teachers from my school to learn about lit study circles for younger readers, and decide what wonderful books we need to buy so we can discuss them with our kids. Fun. It's always nice to have a change of scene and a change in routine {and you know I love talking books, esp. kids' ones!} I'm looking forward to it.
The weekend ahead promises to be a good one, with a girls' movie night at a friend's place {and some hot tubbin' outside on her deck!}, a family swim and some much needed down time, reading and relaxing and enjoying one another's company. I'll work on the report cards on Sunday. And I'll probably go for a run too, on the treadmill if it's raining, and outside if it's not. Fingers crossed for plenty of sunshine! A run outside is always so much more invigorating than one at the gym, don't you think? I also have this week's episodes of Glee, The Office, Portlandia, Fringe and Being Human to catch up on! Whew. I'm going to be busy.
Anyway, hope you're having a fab Friday. Tell me all about it?

First, I really wish I had your job, Erin -- that sounds like so much fun! Second, love the flowers -- simple and sweet is always my favorite combination. Third, what awesome weekend plans you have!! Today, I'm having some friends over for dinner. But first: a trip to the gym! Have a fantastic weekend, darling!

Movie night, hot tub, swimming, and reading??? Does it get any better?! Think of me while you're relaxing in the tub tomorrow because I'll be looking at outcrops all day. I'll just pretend I'm in a hot tub myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI like professional development seminars although I've come across some others in the science education field who aren't such fans. It'll be interesting to see where I go in the future.
Oh, and thanks for entering my giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely weekend is planned and I must admit I gave a little smile when I read about working in the garden! Can't wait to see your beautiful one spring into life once more.
ReplyDeleteHope your pd day was as good as it sounds and hope we can catch up this weekend, missed you this week.
