Cupcake bliss

Today I'm working on those book reviews I promised {wow, have I ever read a lot of books lately!}, getting the spare room ready for our French houseguest {wheeee!}, baking some muffins and doing a thorough clean of the house, in addition to the usual kindergarten and preschool pick-ups and drop-offs. In the meantime, can I tempt you with one of these beauties?

Yep you read that right. Baileys icing. I had the miniature version of this decadent treat at Pink Sugar Cupcakerie on the weekend, and it was heavenly... It would go nicely with a good book, believe me! I'll meet you back here later, with a whole pile of recommendations. And maybe a few cupcakes, too!

  4. Looks like a little slice of heaven!! :) I wish we had a Cupcakerie where I live :( My no chocolate fast ends on Feb. 4th and I cannot wait to indulge my sweet tooth once again :) This month without dessert has been incredibly hard! I don't know if I would have been strong enough to resist Baileys icing though!

So excited to read your book reviews (I need to get back into reading!) and so happy your Em will be visiting soon! :)

ps - the word verification is "caleries." sure, it's spelled wrong, but it still reminded me why i'm not eating 12 cupcakes a day. thanks universe!

  6. Oh scrumptious! I made Irish Car Bombs for Super Bowl one year and they were SO dang good! I found the recipe on Smitten Kitchen in case you need some at home :) But how fortunate that you have a cupcakerie to buy them! I'd be there everyday.

I can't wait to read your book reviews and I like that one of your goals is to feed your brain with good stuff. I'm trying to do the same :)

  12. I have a recipe for a car bomb cupcake: Guinness in the batter, whiskey in the creme filling, and bailey in the frosting. I'll send it over if you'd like...

I need to get some chocolate. Now.
