Miserable me

So we've been rushing like crazy to try to get the living and dining room ready for our painter to arrive this morning. I was finally allowing myself to get excited... Until his phone call just now, cancelling.

Now it's up to us to get everything primed, painted, trimmed, finished before Christmas. I have no idea when we'll be getting our tree. Hopefully before Christmas Eve.

Sigh. My eyes hurt from crying. I'm so tired of all of this. But it's time to wipe my face with a cool cloth, get my shoes on and head out to the paint store. We need to buy rollers, lots of them.

Wish us luck for a pretty living room SOON, won't you please?

  1. Oh, Erin! I am so, so sorry to hear about all this added stress!

I'm sure that, in time, you will have a completely beautiful living room and tree..no matter how long it takes to get there. :)

I'm sending you lots of well wishes, sunshine and lending a little virtual aid with the painting. :)

  3. I hope you get it done! If it's any inspiration, my mama LOVES painting. I think it makes her feel empowered and accomplished, because you can see the immediate results when you're done. And if it doesn't get done pronto, I hope you get your tree anyway!!

  10. sorry to hear that! I kind of understand your pain. my parents are putting in hardwood floors this week so we haven't done any decorating. no garlands. no tree. not even any lights outside. I was kind of bummed about it the other day. I'm not sure if we're going to catch up on our christmas spirit once the floors are installed or if we'll just go this holiday without all the decorations. but I hope you can get your tree!! I know how important that is to you, and I'm sure your boys. but you know, you guys will have a wonderful holiday, tree or no tree. I'm sure of it. still, I'm pulling for you! sending you hugs xoxo
