Miserable me

So we've been rushing like crazy to try to get the living and dining room ready for our painter to arrive this morning. I was finally allowing myself to get excited... Until his phone call just now, cancelling.

Now it's up to us to get everything primed, painted, trimmed, finished before Christmas. I have no idea when we'll be getting our tree. Hopefully before Christmas Eve.

Sigh. My eyes hurt from crying. I'm so tired of all of this. But it's time to wipe my face with a cool cloth, get my shoes on and head out to the paint store. We need to buy rollers, lots of them.

Wish us luck for a pretty living room SOON, won't you please?

  1. Oh, Erin! I am so, so sorry to hear about all this added stress!

I'm sure that, in time, you will have a completely beautiful living room and matter how long it takes to get there. :)

I'm sending you lots of well wishes, sunshine and lending a little virtual aid with the painting. :)

  2. Ohh I'm so sorry, I wished I lived closer, then I would spent my day off Wednesday painting you living room!
    Hopefully you will finish soon:)

  3. I hope you get it done! If it's any inspiration, my mama LOVES painting. I think it makes her feel empowered and accomplished, because you can see the immediate results when you're done. And if it doesn't get done pronto, I hope you get your tree anyway!!

  4. Erin, oh no!

Sending you a massive cuddle and hope that you can sort something out.

You know I only wish I could come over with a roller to help out.

    Take care lovely.

  5. Oh Erin this is such sucky news! I wish I could come over and help you paint. I have 100% faith you will pull this all off by christmas.

  6. I too wish I could come over with a paint roller &/or a bottle of red wine. And a big stick to whack that painter with.

  7. *HUGS* that's awful, erin! i hope everything worked out, and am confident you'll have your tree before christmas eve & everything will be lovely. and also - boo to the cancellation guy. boo!

  8. renos are so hard, espeically when they drag on and on and on like this.

    sending you a gigantic hug!

  9. oh honey! i'm so sorry this is taking so long and is making life so difficult for you these days. i would be going out of my mind if we had part of our house under construction, especially with little boys and holidays. but i think i have something special for you... it's something i wish i had seen a week ago so i could have mailed it to you for christmas, but this will just have to do.

go here to get your special "feel better" card from me:

also, i just got your christmas card in the mail!!! i was so beyond thrilled to get it and to find such a cute little gift inside! :) he's hanging on our tree as we speak. i love him! so thank you!

  10. sorry to hear that! I kind of understand your pain. my parents are putting in hardwood floors this week so we haven't done any decorating. no garlands. no tree. not even any lights outside. I was kind of bummed about it the other day. I'm not sure if we're going to catch up on our christmas spirit once the floors are installed or if we'll just go this holiday without all the decorations. but I hope you can get your tree!! I know how important that is to you, and I'm sure your boys. but you know, you guys will have a wonderful holiday, tree or no tree. I'm sure of it. still, I'm pulling for you! sending you hugs xoxo

  11. *hugs* I'm sure it will all work out very soon! I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!

  12. ugh, as if you aren't stressed enough! :(

just think of how BEAUTIFUL it'll all be when you're done :)

i agree, i wish i could help as well :(

and yes, i SO HOPE you get your tree soon regardless. xoxo

Yay! I love comments.
