Flowers for your Friday

Well, that was a crazy week! But I'm happy to say I made it through and it's now Friday morning. Today is a professional development day at school, which means I don't have to rush getting there, and then I get to chat with my colleagues and drink a lot of tea, have lively brainstorming sessions about how to be better teachers and maybe take a look at some fabulous new books. {Ooh, and I'm going to put up some twinkle lights around my bulletin boards, too}. I love pro-d days.

This weekend is going to be awesome! I'm heading up-island with my mom and my sister tomorrow. We're going to see a play {A Christmas Carol, which I adore!}, do some Christmas shopping, stay in a hotel {yay!}, watch festive movies on the dvd player in our room, go out for breakfast {mmm, I can taste the eggs benny now!} and just enjoy our girl time together. No boys allowed!

What do you have planned for this weekend? Something fun and festive, I expect. Whatever it is... enjoy!

  1. That sounds like a delightful weekend! I'm home (and still in bed!) now cause we have Wed-Fri off for Thanksgiving, and basking in my too-much-food state of mind (um, and body). ha! Have fun today, and can't wait to hear all about your girls' weekend!

  8. Up Island, do you live on Vancouver Island. My parents live in Qualicum Beach and I go there often. I had a day off today (flex day) and I just slept in, had coffee, trimmed my tree and played my kind of tunes on the cd player. Sigh! Wonderful day!

  9. Yep, southern tip of Vancouver Island! Victoria, to be precise. What a small world! We're going to Chemainus for the weekend, less than an hour from Qualicum!
