London Loves: Cafe Culture

If there's one thing you can count on in London (besides the rain) it's the tea. There are cafes everywhere, and I love them. We visited many a cafe in the capital, and I drank gallons of tea in the 3 weeks we were there. Mmmmm....

We love Cafe Thorntons. Tea for two was our order of choice, and it always comes with a chocolate. Yum! Dylan loved his lemony cupcake, too.

At this little cafe in Bromley, I had a traditional scone with cream and strawberry preserves.

The Honest Sausage in Regent's Park is one of my favourite little spots in the city. It's tiny and the menu is small, but the tea and the soup are always soooo good.

It was the perfect spot to stop and warm up on our way to London Zoo on what turned out to be quite a rainy day!

And check it out! The tea was FREE!

You know how the Pughs feel about Starbucks. It's not quite the same in London, but we had to give it a try anyway. This one was right around the corner from our hotel so we stopped on our way back from the park one day.

Tea and snacks with Nanny at Cafe Hamley's. And a few toys, too!

This is the church of St Martin in the Fields, on Trafalgar Square. Gorgeous. And downstairs...

... is the Cafe-in-the-Crypt. LOVE. Look at those ceilings!

And finally, Sawyer (my wee English boy) enjoys a cup of tea with Nanny, outside a cafe in the gardens at Knebworth. After an hour of walking, this tea really hit the spot!

Coming up on the list of London Loves: pubs, museums and The London Eye!
