My "I should really be writing my report cards but instead I'm blogging" 3BT:
1. Tea and a warm cinnamon bun just as the wind is coming up and cooling everything down. I feel tired and achy and happy at the end of a busy, wonderful, summery weekend. The tea and treat are the perfect way to end it.
2. All the little lupins and asters Sawyer and I planted in the garden this evening. I can't wait till they're big enough to bloom. He'll remember how small they were, and will be completely enchanted by them.
3. Listening to Alan and Dylan chatting away upstairs in the bedroom. Dylan is just telling his dad why he likes to do handstands so much. I love it.
Yes, it's the little things...
Guess I'd better get back to work on my marking and report card comments. Or, I don't know, maybe I'll just go take a bath.
Hehe kids always say such cute things. They are good memories to have these sweet conversations.
ReplyDeleteAhh tea and a cinnamon bun sounds lovely. I wouldn't mind one right now. I hope all the report card writing goes well :)
Goodluck with the marking!
ReplyDeleteI go with the bath option! If only you had one of the fancy headset things and could dictate your report card comments - just imagine!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a super duper weekend after such a rubbish Friday arvo.
xx
Little surprise on my blog for you in case you haven't spotted it first!

your number one sounds absolutely lovely! hmm, I want a warm cinnamon bun now! :)
ReplyDeleteand your kids just sound so adorable and darling. kids really are amused and enchanted, as you say, by the simplest things. planting seedlings, doing handstands... I remember when a good handstand brought me so much joy. reminds me to be thankful for the little things even now, as a grown up. thanks!
p.s. I hope you got that bath. how divine! (much better than work, tee hee)
Report cards; yack! I hate them! Thank goodness, I won't have to write any more before December. Tomorrow is the last day of school.
