This is my birthday card from my dearest friend Emily 2 years ago, sent from New York City just before she moved to France. Isn't it great? I love the vintage look of it. It's one of my favourite cards on the postcard wall.
A thousand paper cranes, in honour of Sadako and her thousand cranes. Have you read her story? It's tragic but inspiring. These cranes were here when I started at this job 5 years ago and I hope they always will be. Aren't they beautiful?
And now for something new. Nicole at My Teacups in Peony has been posting photos of feet around the world for a while now. Today I thought I'd join in! Here's where my (tiny little) feet have taken me today:
Tonight they're taking me for a run (run for 7 min, walk for 1 min x8!). Let's hope it's not pouring rain and blowing a hurricane like it was last Tuesday night. Because that was so. not. fun. After my run they'll take me home to curl up on the couch and watch LOST. It's all about Richard tonight! Finally, some answers! (well, one would hope...)
Happy Tuesday my dears.
E xo
PS: Be sure to check out the links above to Bacwoods Fern and My Teacups in Peony if you want to play along.
Another Lost fan, will we ever get answers!? I forgot tonight was about Richard, I hope it's a good one.
ReplyDeleteAriana and I went to the library today too!
xoxo,

Oh I love your shoes on the welcome to the library mat, just adorable.
ReplyDeleteaw thanks for taking part! im training for a marathon right now so you just reminded me i need to get my butt in gear;)
ReplyDeletethat postcard is lovely. I hope I can visit one day!! oh, I really do!
ReplyDeleteand your feet ARE tiny! :) I wish mine were smaller. I wear 9 1/2, sometimes a 10! but I guess no matter what the size, they all get us where we want to go!
The cranes are just gorgeous! I've been trying to get my boyfriend to make me a mobile of cranes. But now...do you think 1000 would be too much to ask?
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the corners of your little library!
ReplyDeleteIf you can get hold of Eddie Izzard Marathon Man on the BBC (in aid of Sports Relief) I can certainly recommend it. If it can't inspire you to run I don't know what can - certainly made us think. Hope run was good tonight.
