It's 8:45 pm, and I've spent the past half hour posting photos and writing snippets about the past few days. Now I am in desperate need of a cup of tea and a rest. But it's not to be! There is more to be done before the relaxing can begin. It has been a long day, as my work days always are. Up at 6, getting the boys clean, fed, dressed and organized to go to Kelly's house... then trying to find a few spare minutes to do the same things for myself (and slap on some mascara and lipstick!) At 8 o'clock, we were headed out the door and off to our various destinations. I worked, ran errands, took Dylan to the eye doctor (so far he seems to have escaped the various eye problems that Alan and I were both plagued with as children!), then got everyone home and fed once again! Now the boys are in bed, I have blogged away, and it's time to make lunches and pack the bags for tomorrow. Another work day, another crazy morning ahead! I like to get everything as organized as possible the night before, to minimize the madness... but it doesn't make for very relaxing evenings. Oh well, LOST is on hiatus, so what else is there to do with my time, really?
Tomorrow is the end of my (school)work week, and then I have just three days left of term. Three days left (next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) to collect all outstanding library books, shelve everything, take down bulletin boards, attend numerous assemblies, entertain and supervise many groups of children who are of the belief that school got out several weeks ago, AND teach a group of 18 children (from kindergarten to grade 6) the words and actions to "So Long, Farewell" (you know the one... "Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you!") to be performed at the year end assembly. HOW do I get myself into these things?!
So there you have it. I'm tired! But busy and (most of the time) happy. So I shan't complain too much! Better get to those lunches. I'll be sure to make myself a cup of tea while I'm at it.
