Happy things with which to end the week

Australian chocolate for a quick pick-me-up {I can't believe I haven't told you all about our fabulous visit with Gracie yet! Next week, I promise...}

 Mmm, boy! Caramello Koalas are where it's at.

I love that my boys are so excited to ride the school bus, and that I don't have to dash around to multiple destinations in the mornings anymore. For the first time ever, they're at the same school! Life just got so much easier.

 Sawyer's first morning on the bus

I love my classroom, especially now that the walls are filling up with the children's artwork. Bulletin boards are sort of my thing.

 Check out their fab self-portraits!

Apple cutouts + paint + Q-tips = a quick lesson in pointillism, and a pretty, seasonal display. They turned out well, don't you think?

 And how about that cute owl-themed border?

Friday night blogging beverage of choice. Cheers to making it through the second week of school, and a very emotional, tear-filled Tuesday {love you, Grandpa...}

Also, j'adore my Paris coasters...

And finally, I've got Monday off, which means it's a long weekend! An extra day for making soup and baking pie, visiting the fall fair with two very excited little boys, having my parents over for dinner, watching Doctor Who, and soaking up the late summer sun. Gotta love that!

Have an awesome weekend, friends. I hope it's a long one for you, too!

  1. Enjoy the long weekend! Your classroom looks great! I don't like going back to work in July when the students aren't there. A school without children is lonely and empty place. Hugs,

  3. Aw, I love your portraits! I am excited for the full schedule to kick in (my threes were on a shortened phase-in schedule last week) so we can get down to business and create some art to fill the space!
