Happy things with which to end the week

I usually do these posts on Fridays, but it's never too late for a happy list, is it? Here are some of the things that have made me smile this week:

Sawyer's first day of Kindergarten {!}, Dylan's first day of Grade 2. They were both so excited about the new school year as they headed off to school.

My cutie pies

We've been going through hundreds of photos, making memory boards for Grandpa's memorial service on Tuesday. I have cried a lot this week, but looking through these has made me laugh quite a bit, too. Love this one of Grandpa, Amanda, Auntie Pat and me.

I love his grin, watching us

Dinosaurs. On a space ship. Totally awesome episode of Doctor Who tonight! And, let's face it, every Saturday night really.

It was an exciting, hilarious, and completely kid-friendly episode. We are sooo showing it to the boys tomorrow :)

My belated anniversary gift from Alan... a shiny white KitchenAid Ultra! I got it last night and already I've made a plum cake {the tree in our garden is bursting with them} and Nutella brownies. Next up, bread dough!

Look at it! It totally pretties up my kitchen counter.

It felt good to be back at work this week. I love our new admin team, and my sweet little class of first graders. While I'm still feeling overwhelmed and I've got a "to do" list a mile long, I have a really good feeling about this school year.

Pretty sure I need that mug.

How was your week? I hope it was filled with happy things, and that your weekend has been fabulous so far. More on Monday.

À bientôt!
