Strawberry love


I was reading You Are My Fave this morning {you know, like you do when you're on summer vacation and have loads of time to linger at the kitchen table, savouring your tea and toast and favourite blogs...} and I came across two posts that were full of strawberry goodness. The first was all about celebrating summer with strawberry lemonade {yes, please!} and the second featured the most scrumptious-looking spinach and strawberry salad.


Well, that couldn't even be more perfect! It just so happens that I have a fresh crop of spinach in the garden right now, and loads of lovely strawberries, too. Excellent! I know what I'm making for dinner tonight. Lemonade and salad fresh from the garden? Eaten outside on the lawn?

Yep. Living my manifesto. I love summer.

    I love strawberries so much! Strawberry and Spinach salads are basically my favorite salads! Mmm, good decision :)

    Mmm! Looks delish! We have wild strawberries growing on our property, but they certainly are tart.

    the strawberries are so big and delicious right now! just the other night dannon made lemon pancakes with strawberry rum topping {all from scratch of course}. it was amazing. i've been freezing all the strawberries i can get my hands on and making giant smoothies for dinner. hooray summer!

    Strawberries are hands-down my favorite summer fruit! I like them in baked goods too. Strawberry pie is so underrated :)

    it sounds so silly but i would have never thought to have paired strawberry and spinach. do let me know how it tastes? of course i don't think ANYTHING compares to home grown veggies/fruits.
