Hanging out with my mom, Sunday evening
It was a good weekend. I got to do some sleeping in, which is always nice. We played outside, went to Goldstream for a birthday party and picnic, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, walked along the river, climbed trees. Back at home, Alan mowed the lawn, I made chocolate pudding, the boys played with their new {noisy} superhero thingy and constructed a library in the playroom {they are their mother's sons!} Saturday night I read magazines, watched Doctor Who with Alan {plus another episode of Fringe... just a few away from the finale now}, wrote a letter or two. Mother's Day was nice. There was tea and toast, artwork and flowers from the boys, lots of hugs and kisses, and a solo shopping spree at Joe Fresh during naptime {I got a few very cute items for super cheap!} We filled our hanging baskets with fresh soil and lots of new plants. Mmm, verbena! Finally, once the boys were in bed, I headed over to my parents' house for a cup of tea and a visit with my lovely mom. My dad took some terrible photos of us and we had a good laugh. Then I came home for a bubble bath. Aaah... All in all, it was a really nice Mother's Day weekend.
