I came across that quote a few months ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since. There are so many places that I dream of visiting. I have a journal where I write them down, and a brand new French one {merci, Emily!} where I am keeping track of all the places I plan to visit {patisseries, boulangeries, cafes, musees...} when we finally make it to the Paris together!
Here are just a few of my someday destinations:
Verona, Italy
Santorini, Greece
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Paris, France
Edinburgh, Scotland
The Cotswolds, England
Savannah, Georgia
Also high on my list of must-sees: New York City, Prague, San Francisco, Barcelona... Where are some places you've never been, but would love to visit? Perhaps I need to add them to my list, too!
I found myself agreeing with all of your 'one day' holiday destinations!

Santorini is very beautiful, indeed!
ReplyDeleteScotland is my number one 'one day' destination.
Love it! Similar to your Savannah, Georgia destination I'd like to make it to Charleston, South Carolina. Although it's only two states away from me it's a 10+ hour drive and seeing as I don't have a job, I have no money to spend on that trip.
ReplyDeleteI've been to England once before but I need to go again. Not want, need. Noah and I have actually talked about the logistics of moving there. I'll just say it's on the table. My favorite city that I've ever been to was actually Edinburgh Scotland. It felt like that was where I was supposed to be.
Does that make senes?
I hope you get to travel to your dream vacation spots and if you ever get to Cotswolds, take me with you!
This is a fantastic idea and one that I am trying to start myself. I figure it will make planning a holiday more fun if I know the places I want to visit.
ReplyDeleteI love all your Someday Destinations.
Well, you're going to come visit me in NYC and that will take care of that one. Sigh. I need to make my own list. And then start planning.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote & I love this post!
ReplyDeleteI'm a very lucky girl, as I've been able to travel to/live in many wonderful places. I still have a list of "someday destinations" like you, though. I dream of visiting the Easter Islands, taking the Trans-Siberian express & spending time in Iceland.
Do you know that I have a friend who lives on Santorini? Interesting, non? Let's put that as number two on our to-do list (after our trip to Paris, bien sur!)
Oh I used to live in Prague! It is absolutely amazing. And a place you must see- Brac. It's an island that belongs to Croatia. I want to go there for my honeymoon :)
