Fresh air, pajamas, and a big bowl of soup
It was yet another craptastic morning in the Pugh house this morning. We seem to be on a bit of a roll with those lately. But anyway, let's not talk about that. Let's focus on the positive. As the lovely Audrey Hepburn once said, "Happy girls are the prettiest." And I want to be one of those girls. {plus, tomorrow's got to be better, right?} So, here's my "it's a gloomy Thursday morning in January but I don't care" 3BT:
1. I got to work just in time for my playground duty this morning. The air was brisk but not cold. It was good to take lots of deep breaths as I walked around the school grounds, Dylan's hand in mine.
2. Sawyer wore his pajamas to playschool this morning for PJs and Pancakes day. He was so excited. "I will have seven!" he told me as he waved good-bye with a big grin on his face.
3. I was super-organized yesterday afternoon and made our supper for tonight. A great big pot of potato & leek soup. It's so delicious, I'm going to have it for lunch and supper!
Oh, and one more thing... it's recess. You can't beat recess.

i completely think that adult workplaces should have "pj and pancake days" :) and recess! (lunch doesn't count as recess either)

ah, mornings. they seem to go more wrong than right I feel like. but maybe that's because I am so NOT a morning person! haha. but sorry to hear yours have been a bit worse than usual... hopefully things will get better soon! till then, at least you are taking it in stride. oh, and can I have some of that potato and leek soup? that sounds delicious!!
