Flowers for your Friday

So you know what I haven't done in about a million years? Posted a Flowers for your Friday! I guess I got all caught up with home renovation projects and Christmas and nasty flu bugs, and was busy posting a pretty advent picture each day, and I forgot all about the flowers. I love Flowers for your Friday, and I'm totally bringing it back. Like right this second. How are those for some beautiful blooms? I like the sparkly, wintry ornaments too. I've got a pretty pink poinsettia in the living room, but I'm thinking it might be time for a bouquet of something lovely on the kitchen table. A reward for making it through to Friday, maybe?

It's been a busy week, getting back into routines, trying to make healthy meals {I even did a Meal Plan Monday- yay, me!}, getting back to the gym, and just getting used to the more hectic pace of daily life again. I'm missing the holidays, let me tell you! But it's good to be getting organized and everyone's adjusting pretty well.

I think we'll be finishing our house clean-up this weekend, and taking the last of the Christmas boxes down to the crawl space. I'd like to work on re-organizing the spare room {one day, it will be my office, and it will be lovely...}, and it's about time we got all our drywall debris to the dump, too. Oh, and I need to do some shopping for a certain someone's birthday. And maybe plan a menu for his birthday dinner on Wednesday. Does anyone think I can actually make an ice cream cake? Maybe I'd better put in an order at DQ just in case...

What are you doing this weekend? And how was your first week of January? I hope it was splendid. {I love that word. Splendid. It's a good one, don't you think?}

  1. I don't know what I'm doing this weekend because I have a decision to make and that decision will change what I'm doing. Ah!

  2. Sounds like another busy Pugh weekend planned!

    It is funny, I was thinking about flowers and Friday posts when I clicked on here and there you are having posted one - great minds and all that!

    Hope to catch you over the weekend

  3. My mom always used to make us ice cream cake for birthdays when we were kids. Yum! I'm sure she still has the recipe if you're interested. All I know is you need a springform pan & lots of crushed-up cookies for the crust!

    Happy weekend to you. I'm finally going to take the tree down (le sigh)!

    XOXO!

  4. Beautiful flowers. I like the soft colors of pink. This weekend.... hopefully the farm market will be open! I'd love to buy more orange blossom honey (I was addicted to it this summer). Mostly though I think I'll be unpacking after getting back to my apartment and reading books all the while.

  5. I still need to get back on track this weekend. I just ate 5 cupcakes in 2 days...that's not so good (so my tummy tells me). I'm getting started right now. Shopping at the farmer's market tomorrow will definitely help as well -- I think I might pick up some flowers too. Have a great weekend, Erin!
