Is it just me, or has March flown by? I can't believe we're just a few days away from April (I don't mind, because I adore April... but still! where has the time gone?) We had a great weekend, really busy but productive and lots of fun. Yesterday we had my mom's birthday breakfast party at our house. All the cousins came to help celebrate Gramma's birthday.
Sawyer and Kilian are having more and more fun together as they get older.
Isabel was loving Gramma's charm that Dylan gave her. It reads "Kiss me all over!" Hilarious. But he insisted.
Coffee cake to make a wish upon. Mom had lots of help from all the grandkids to blow the candles out!
After everyone had gone home, we had lunch and the boys napped. I went for a really great run. Then we spent the afternoon in the garden. The boys helped me plant some pansies for my friend Shannon. {I went to her house last night for a girly New Moon birthday party! She has a movie screen in her basement. Edward was larger than life... It was awesome!}
Sawyer and I played catch, too. Every time he caught the ball, he would shriek with delight, drop the ball and clap his hands wildly. LOVE. IT.
That was Saturday, and it was lovely. Today was much of the same. We dug and planted and played outside. We did puzzles and coloured pictures. I re-organized the laundry room and put all sorts of stuff away into the crawl space. The library is neat and tidy again {yes, I have my own library... have I mentioned that before? I must show you a photo sometime} and ready to be used for reading and constructing railroads in!
All in all, a really great weekend to end the month of March. How was yours?
What a perfect sounding weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe 'little gardener' pics are just fab and coffee cake - yes please!
