{Oh lovely little crocuses, I love you!}
This has been a long and busy day. I did some laundry, vacuumed the living room, washed the windows (on a sunny day like this, you realize just how smudged with grubby handprints your windows really are!), dashed through the grocery store (with 8 litres of milk and a fidgety toddler in tow), brought in firewood and stacked it by the woodstove, fed and entertained and read aloud to two busy boys, and weeded two of our flower beds. I'm sure I did a bunch of other stuff too, but I really can't remember for the life of me what those things were.
Now, after all of that (and all the rest), I am exhausted! My whole body aches, and my eyes are tired. Alan called on his way home from work and we contemplated taking the boys swimming at the rec centre, but we quickly decided we just aren't up for it. So instead, we're meeting up at Starbucks for a cup of tea and a cuddle in the comfy chairs before heading home to bed. The boys are in their jammies and sitting by the door, ready to go. I'd guess I'd better get my shoes on too, before they get restless and stage a revolt!
Good-night, all. Hope you've got fun plans for this evening, and the weekend ahead!
Happy Friday and Saturday and Lovely Sunday! We are going to the Winter Carnival in 100 Mile Tomorrow. Its a free "do" for the kids, off to get firewood when we get home. Then Sunday out for a drive to East Canim Lake and off to a Birthday dinner - wow we are busy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a relaxing weekend from all you did today. Take Care Love Ya Kelly
Really think you now deserve a real rest for the weekend! Although I know exactly what you mean about the windows - I walked in yesterday afternoon and immediately had to clean mine in our kitchen - the sun makes them look dreadful!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely time snuggled up at Starbucks.
xx
With all your busy work, I bet you are sore.
ReplyDeleteThe tea and cuddle and the wood stove make me want to jump into your cozy little nook for awhile.
Cheers~Ivy
