Getting ready

Halloween is tomorrow and we are ready! The pumpkins are carved and standing at attention on the front steps, the costumes are on their hangers, waiting to be donned (wait till you see how cute my little pumpkin and teddy bear are!), the candy bowl is full (well, mostly full...) and the windows are all decorated. "Mum," Dylan said to me this afternoon, "Now we  have a really Halloween house!" He is getting very excited and is full of delightful anticipation of the big day. We are going to bake pumpkin and ghost shaped sugar cookies in the morning, join in the madness that is "Trick or Treat Time" at the mall in the afternoon (Alan's going to try to get out of work early to meet us there), have a big spaghetti supper with Kelly, Ed and the kids at our place around 5, and then hit the streets of our neighbourhood (loot bags in hand) to knock on as many doors as we possibly can before finally heading home, exhausted, and collapsing into our beds! Oh, but before that, we might hop in the van for a quick trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house and the bonfire at the Colwood firehall. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it. It's going to be quite the day. Check back here on Saturday, for all the details!
