On Friday, Dylan's preschool took a trip to Oldfield Orchard to experience fall on the farm. The kids (and their parents, sibs and grandparents) got to go for a hayride, wander the pumpkin patch in search of that perfect pumpkin, take a peek at the baby chicks (shhhh!), feed the sheep and pick apples from the trees in the orchard. With the exception of the hay wagon getting a flat tire five minutes into our journey (soooo disappointing- check out the look on Dylan's face in the photo with my dad!), the trip was a big success. We got two pumpkins, half a dozen apples, and a lot of fun photos! Our next field trip is to see the annual salmon spawning at Goldstream Park in November. Bring on the stinky fish!
