Happy New Year!

Well, I must apologize for my lack of posts lately... we have been so busy with Christmas celebrations that I haven't had any time to sit down at the computer. We have been making rather merry these past few weeks, having visited with friends and family, wrapped presents, opened presents (oh! so many presents!), sung carols, gorged ourselves on turkey, stuffing and more chocolate than you can possibly imagine! We've had fun taking Alan's mum to see the Christmas lights (never mind that I picked the most miserable, blustery night of the year to make that journey... and, after about 2 hours of driving, found the best house a block away from home!) and to many Boxing Day sales (she's going to have an interesting time getting those suitcases closed!)

Dylan had a marvellous Christmas. He was so excited Christmas Eve, waiting for Santa and singing carols (in case the elves were listening...) and was beside himself Christmas morning when his wish for a "dancing thing" was granted. Sawyer had a very Merry Christmas too. Both Dylan and Santa brought him baby food, and he's been loving joining in at mealtimes, instead of just watching us all with a hungry look on his face! Butternut squash was on the menu tonight, and he was delighted.

We rang in the New Year in a very low-key fashion last night, with episodes of The Office, some crisps and chocolate, and a wee drink of wine. We've all had colds (and I have been getting v. little sleep lately, what with sick kids, and a baby whose teeth are perpetually on their way) so it was the best we could manage. We counted down to midnight though, so I was awake- by choice-when the clock struck 12! I can't ask for more than that at the moment.

Most of our Christmas pictures are on Yvonne's new camera, but we'll get them onto our computer before she leaves next week and I'll post a dizzying array of them, I promise! In the meantime, here's a family snap taken at Auntie Pat's Christmas party and one of the boys taken just this evening.

We wish you all the happiest of holidays (it's not 12th night yet!) and a joyous, prosperous and healthy New Year. 2008, here we come!

Erin, Alan, Dylan and Sawyer xoxo
