I have been spending a lot of time in my new classroom of late, getting ready for my brand new class of kindergarten kids to arrive in September. I am really loving how it's come together. This is my work space, just behind my desk. Stay tuned for a full classroom tour, coming soon!
To celebrate, we took the kids out for dinner to one of their favourite restaurants. It was lots of fun, as you can see! {and we still look fairly young, right?}
We've also been busy working in the yard, roofing our woodshed and starting work on the boys' tree fort. We had 5 cords of firewood delivered on Thursday and have been stacking wood for hours and hours on end. The shed is full to the rafters now, and our wood stove will be roaring all winter! In between all the building and stacking, Alan managed to take a break and helped the kids rig up a pretty great swing in the pine tree. They were giddy with excitement over it.
What have you been busy doing this August? Are you starting to feel the pressure to do all the summery things you wanted to before the time runs out?
happy anniversary!
